Every Prudence. piece is handcrafted with time, care, and intention. Many items are made to order, please allow 2-3 weeks for in shop items and 4–6 weeks for custom jewellery to be created unless otherwise stated.
By placing an order, paying a deposit, or checking out online, you're letting us know that you've read and agreed to the info below.
Please note that handmade jewellery can vary slightly in shape, finish, or stone colour.
Quotes
Quotes (whether in person or via email) are valid for 14 days. Prices may change over time, especially as the cost of gold shifts — we’ll always keep you updated.
Deposits
For custom work: If needed, a $100 deposit is required to create a CAD design or wax model. Once you’re happy, a 50% deposit gets it into production. The final balance is due before we send your piece home to you.If payment is delayed beyond what we've agreed, we may need to hold or cancel your order.
Shipping
We pack every order with love and care. All parcels are sent with Australia Post and include tracking. A contact number at checkout helps ensure smooth delivery. Unfortunately we can’t take responsibility for parcels lost, stolen or damaged in transit. Shipping for returns, exchanges, or repairs (unless covered by warranty) is the responsibility of the sender.
Sizing & Resizing
All our rings come with a complimentary resize (including return shipping). Some designs can’t be resized — we’ll let you know ahead of time. Resizing is limited to 2–3 sizes up or down. Please get in touch within 30 days of receiving your ring if you do require a resize. Additional resizes are $90.
Returns & Exchanges
We accept exchanges or credit notes within 14 days of purchase, as long as your piece:
Is unworn
Comes back in original condition and packaging
Includes proof of purchase
Return postage is your responsibility. Custom or one-off designs are final sale — this includes any item made to your specific size, style, or finish. By confirming a custom order or paying a deposit, you agree to this condition.
We only issue refunds for items found to have manufacturing faults.
We can’t offer refunds for:
Change of mind
Incorrect sizing
Postal delays
Refund requests must be made within 30 days of purchase.
Cancelling Your Order
We allow cancellations within 12 hours of ordering. Expedited makes waive this cancellation period.
Warranty & Repairs
We offer a 12-month warranty for any confirmed manufacturing faults.
What’s not covered:
Bends or breaks from impact
Lost or chipped stones (unless due to a manufacturing claw fault)
Tarnishing or wear from everyday use
Even if it’s not under warranty, we’re happy to take a look and quote you for repairs.
Jewellery Care
To keep your piece looking its best:
Clean gently with mild soapy water or a polishing cloth
Avoid harsh chemicals and store in a soft pouch
Remove before showering, swimming, or heavy activity (ie. gym or on the tools)
Pearls and opals are especially delicate — they’re porous and sensitive to heat, moisture, and chemicals. Avoid exposing them to perfumes, lotions, or water, and always store them separately to prevent scratches or surface damage.
Taxes & Duties
Prices on our site include GST for Australian customers. If you're ordering internationally, local taxes or import duties may apply — these are the buyers responsibility.
Design Ownership
All Prudence. designs — even custom pieces — remain our intellectual property. We may use them for future collections, photos or inspiration unless exclusivity is agreed in writing.
Limit of Liability
Prudence. is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the misuse or wear of our products.
